i live on Kingsfield road and im lookin for a landing that is close to my house.... well, fairly close anyway.. i used to put in at hurst hammock and fish the mouth alot but never really fished the upper part. anyone know of a launch that is fairly close to my house. im trying to go this afternoon if possible

Rubies if you dare....There is a launch north of nine mile i think called sandy landing that is on the water managment area....Acess to it is at the very end of F Reeder road but it closes at sun down.....I have been launching in Seminole at browns landing but thats not real close to your house......It's a day light use only ramp also so gotta be back right at dark.

If you plan on going out of Sandy Landing, remember that they do not play when it somes to alcohol. Whether it is open or in a cooler in the back for your truck. They will give you a ticket on the spot.

What about the launch by the Seminole fire dept.?...Is that daytime only too?...Its not cement or anything but small boats uselaunch there all the time and park by the fire dept....Has been awhile since I was in this area though.

i launched at Ruby's yesterday and tried to catch some catfish.. didnt do so hot but still had a good time. talked to a guy that lives on the river and he mentioned Seminole but didnt say anything about it being a daytime only ramp. i know what you mean about ruby's... its about the same as i remembered as a kid. i was a lil worried about puttin the boat back on the trailer at 1100pm when i heard yellin and cussing coming from the "tent" outside the bar but they kept to themselves..
