I am NOT a fan of MMA.
That being said, I have been to only ONE boxing match in my life. A match a few years ago between Roy Jones Jr. and a pretty good opponent in Biloxi. I'd ALWAYS enjoyed a good boxing match on TV. We came early and watched all the undercard. If a fight is one-sided it is TRULY boring. If a fight is well matched it is EXTREMELY entertaining. (We also saw a local guy a Biloxi couple rows down say... "Hey... that's my cousin!!! as a fight started between heavyweights. He had NO idea his cousin , a BIG strong looking dude, was a fighter (and a bad one, I'd bet he was a local gym boxer who got $100 to come get his ass kicked). Some guy in Jones' stable beat the crap out of him. A "bad" fight is boring. But a good fight is "ELECTRIC", better even than a close SEC football game. That's right, I said it. A closely fought fight is AWESOME. If you care about a fighter, the ENERGY in the arena is BETTER than a College Football Game. That;s right, I said it... AGAIN I suppose it's "primordial". Jim
