Default Transome mounted side scan

Have experience with towed sonar and know that stability is important so how well does this new generation of transom mounted side scans work in typical gulf fishing---60-100 ft depths, and less than 2 ft seas. I would think that they were very susceptable to boat pitch, yaw and rise and fall even at trolling speeds. Thinking of buying a Garmin 94sv.

Maybe a few more details. We used Imagenex Sportscan and found lots of spots. But it was a true towed sonar although a very low end model---still had PC and GPS interface and could find an object the size of a washing machine 200 feet to the side. Anyway, before investing in transom model, would like to know what this forum thinks.

I have a Humminbird 998c si that is still chugging along, we found all our bay spots in the winter time years ago with the side scan. I'm sure the detail is much better now but mine still works great.
