So I just got back from my father in-laws house in Navarre where we keep one of the boats. Turned the power on to check some stuff out and noticed that the fuel gauge was on empty. Hmmm, that's weird considering it was topped off after last use. Little more digging and sure enough, tank is almost bone dry. You can actually see where they placed containers in the sand under the fuel cap and there is some areas where they spilled some fuel. So there goes about 200 gallons of fuel.....next time they will be on camera and so will their ride. Pretty brazen considering my in-laws bedroom window is about 5 feet from the starboard side of the boat.

That sucks. We use and have caught ski mask prowlers with game cameras.

Yea it is really frustrating....basically just paid the expenses of a rig trip and the boat never left the trailer....

Two hundred gallons? Thats about twelve hundred pounds. Where in the heck did they put it? Im thinking they knew it was just filled up somehow and came with a game plan. No way you average gas thief shows up with enough storage to handle that much gas.
Sucks dude, if you happen to find out who they are or what they drive let me know and I will keep my eyes open. |
