Caught an approx. 3' Tarpon in the Big Lagoon Sundaymorningwith a cast net. Shook her out, and off she went. Bit odd isnt it?

Southside or Northside? I would guess the North side close to or inside a residential canal. That is pretty neat anyway. If you don't want to say I wouldn't blame you. What a great fish to catch while Speck fishing.

Nice. I'd sure like to see a lot more Tarpon in the area.

We did catch it in a residential canal. Whats odd is we caught one last year about this same time and same placewhile throwing cast nets. Is it possible they are resident or are they moving thruthis time of year? Both times it was cold. Have been fishing the lagoon since the early60s and dont recall any stories of them being here.

Small Jueve Tarpon have always went up into estuarys . I think thats where their Spanwed. The wallows & high tide marshes& Estuarys have small ones in them. Deer Pt has some in them in the swamps. garcon Pt also.
