Default Spooling Recommendations

I have recently purchased a new jigging setup - Trinidad TN30 and a heavy Trevala - I was interested in opinions with line type and weight in which I should spool this set with. I will be using it on occasion for bottom fishing. Thanks in advance.

If its for jigging and bottom fishing in 150ft or shallower go HEAVY. I sacrifice line length for strength. The fish you will be targeting do not typically make long runs away. Spool with 100lb braid, just remember braid floats and will offset the drop rate on lighter jigs. Thats a sweet set up, good luck. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

i have a trinidad 30, and it has 65lb sufix braid on it... however, we just got some new braid from OTI up here at the shop (Hot Spots) and it's pretty sweet, it's a depthfinder braid that changes color every 25 feet... it's freakin sweet!

I recently bought a Fin-Nor OF20H with the trevela rod rated for50-100 braid and went with 80lb Tuf braid...but I haven't gotten to use it yet so not sure how effective it will prove :banghead:bowdown

I have a Trinidad 50 rigged with 100 lb. power pro for heavy jigging. This rig handled a 60 lb. YFT last year very well!!!
