Ok here's my situation. I have a 2001 21ft seafox bayfisher with a 2000 115hp Johnson 2 stroke. Approximately a month ago I had to buy a new lower unit after i found out the berings rusted out from a busted oil seal. I purchased one, and had a few other things done on it while it was in the shop. I went out of town for 3 weeks and took my boat out saturday, only to have the fuel pump go out. I have not successfully fished once this whole summer on my boat, and have spent almost 1300 dollars on it and have yet to get the fuel pump replaced. It seems like everytime I put it in something goes bad. I have never heard of a boat having THIS much trouble, yes I know they have problems, it's a boat, they do that. Would it be in my best interest to sell it/trade it and try something else? Or hang on to it? I am a 19yr old college student so money is definitely not plentiful. I would still have access to a boat, my grandparents have a 26ft seachaser that I have access to and have to put gas in, I'd just have to wait til my uncle doesn't take it out, which is most weekends. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Thanks, Jonathan |
