Default reef letter to concerned parties

heres the letter to my county commishner and all other parties that i get emails and faxes for.

To whom it may concern,

I have been a resident of Escambia co. for over 40 years and have fished for just about all of them. I?ve watched the fish populations increase and decrease over the years and I can tell you from experience that the fish populations at this time are very plentiful, especially red snapper.

The only thing needed in our waters here in Escambia county is more fish habitat for the juvenal fish to live and grow to maturity. The best place for that habitat is in our bays and near shore in the gulf and the economic impact that it would have in the area from snorkeling , diving, fishing and sales of equipment to do these activities would be a major plus for our economy.

The fdep has already approved 3 out of 5 reef permits for this purpose, the only hold up is the army corps of engineers . They have had 2 applications for over a year and have done nothing with them to this date. I and the fishermen and women would greatly appreciate any assistance that you could give us in getting these permits finalized so that we can start building an inshore and near shore habitat for the future of our fishery here in Escambia county.

Thank you for your time and help in this matter

Default RE: reef letter to concerned parties

Thanks alot Cliff. Every letter helps! Eventually they will realize that we mean business and we aren't going anywhere soon. Keep up the pressure.
