They opened it Aug. it really cut our travel time to OB! Only lights on the new section are at Hwy 90 and at the connection to the original section near Summerdale /Foley. Speed limit 55- strictly enforced by Troopers and Summerdale PD.
Only caution- night time deer crossings, especially this time of year (hunting season), and the intersection at co rd 32- bad wrecks there.
Toll at the bridge still the same- toll for the bridge only!

The new exit is just over 4 miles west of the Hwy 59 exit.
I believe Hwy 59 is exit 44, and the new Beach Express will be Exit 48 or Exit 49.
Be careful of your speed, Robertsdale and Summerdale both have some jurisdiction. I drove it yesterday, and it is a nice road.

Yes, it is labeled as Exit 49, between Loxley and Wilcox.
I'd be more concerned with the Troopers and County Leo's traveling the strip. Summerdale does a lot of patrols on the southern end of the new section. They are writing tickets! So watch your speed, 55 is the limit!

FOLEY, Ala. -
The deal is complete. A 528-acre entertainment venue will be constructed at the corner of County Road 20 and the Foley Beach Express.

The site will be home to Blue Collar Country, complete with a theme park, RV park, restaurants and shopping.

Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy are behind the project. Singer Tony Orlando found the site on a recent trip to Baldwin County, according to his management team.

Phase 1 will consume about 260 acres. It's a $150 million project that will take about 2 years to complete.

RNN) - You might be a ******* if you want to ride a roller coaster called "git-er-done!"

The landscape of amusement parks may have a "*******" themed version coming very soon.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the comedians of the Blue Collar Comedy tour - Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy - may be in the planning stages of an amusement park named "Blue Collar Country."

The amusement park will feature rides, retail, hotels, a resort for RV's, a 100,000 square-foot events centers for concerts, sporting events and conventions and various themed restaurants, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The location of the 500-acre project is reportedly Foley, AL. The city's mayor, John Koniar, called the prospective development as, "Branson, MO meets Six Flags."

Foley, AL, is nearly three hours southwest of Montgomery, AL, on the Alabama gulf coast.

Initial reports say phase one of the project will cost $200 million that will be funded "through a combination of bonds, grants and institutional financing."

"Blue Collar Country will be up and running in the next two to three years," according to Blue Collar manager J.P. Williams.

The partnership group includes '70s singer Tony Orlando, who is said to be the origin of the idea and who found the location. If the first Blue Collar Country theme park is successful, more locations could be built across the country, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Genre-specific theme parks are nothing new to the United States - besides theme parks like Disney World and DisneyLand, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios and Sea World, other theme parks have been based on cultural phenomenon like those based on the Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings.
