Default Pompano Predictions

What is everyones predictions for when the pompano will start running? I know people have been trying for them but with no luck. I am trying to figure out if they will be in when I head to Pensacola here on March 20th.

Hopefully we can hang on to warmer temps and south winds for the next few days. We have been getting a 1 degree water temp increase per day for about six days now. If it gets to the mid 60's they should start showing up.

GBBT already has fish on the board for their Pompano tourney. First place is just shy of 4 lbs.

I will definitely be trying for them when I am down there. I too also agree with the theory that the bigger fish usually come first in the season, or thats how it is with the largemouth anyways from my experience.

Also, where is GBBT located at in relation to the destin area?

Well water temps just hit 61 today. So i am hoping that soon they will come. We went out on Sunday and got skunked. Saw a bunch of schools of whatever far out but nothing beach side. I think the best bet for now is to find them, cause they are not going to find you. Its too cold. Find the holes! Cheers!
