If anyone is thinking that Blackwater river in Milton is better, its worse than the Sound to watch fireworks , at somepoints you can even move. Then you have to use the boat ramp , be safe everybody and have a wonderful 4th.

My grown sons and I got lucky a few years ago 2 July 4ths in a row in that we got a high table outside at Hooters both holidays and had the best seats for watching the fireworks. We were right on the railing by their little beach and could see full view all that was happening. We also had such amenities as fine waitresses to serve most of our needs, a bathroom that was close by and you didn't lose your seat on the dock if you really had to go, pitchers of cold beer that just didn't end all evening, and some great wings when we needed a snack!!

The downside to both trips was getting back off the Beach!!! That bridge was tied up for literally HOURS after the festivities and I could have caught a few naps waiting for traffic to move one block at a time!! And I can imagine that, since Ivan closed down the road to Navarre Beach, it is much worse now! Next time they come down to visit I am going to secure a hotel room on the Beach for the 3 of us!!
