The weather service says tornadoes also touched down in Bullock, DeKalb, Hale, Lawrence, Marshall, Morgan, Montgomery, Perry, Russell, St. Clair and Shelby counties.

In the Birmingham area, the strongest twister brought 122 mph winds through Blount and St. Clair counties, and traveled a path more than six-and-a-half miles long and 300 yards wide.

Seemed the appropriate place to post this.
