Alright guys my wife finally signed off on me getting a bigger boat. I am headed down to look at this one next week and if it passes inspection she should be back here by the end of the month. Just looking for everyones opinions, good, bad whatever...if anyone has any first hand knowledge with this make and model that would be awesome. Anyway heres the link:http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...amp;slim=quick&

Looks like it's in really good shape. I don't own or know much about boats that size, but if I were in the market, my biggest decision would be based around diesel vs. gas. Be sure you know all the pros and cons of each. |

For sure...If I could afford diesels that is what I would prefer, but after reading David Pascoe's book(google him) gas motors in this size boat aren't that bad...I just wish they had more range I want to be able to occasionally make a rigs trip.

I was looking at a larger boat like this one and everyonepointed outthe whole diesel vs gas thing to me also. In the end, I took the thing out and decided it would be too hard for me to handle since it's usually my 2 young sons and I fishing. So, decide if you'll be able to handle a boat that large with whoever you normally fish with. That's just my opinion and I'm no expert. But, I'd gladly give you a hand when you fish it.. :shedevil

Get on the hull truth.com and look up Lhurs. They have a bad rep over there.

Contact "Voodoo Lounge", Capt. Tony Blanton. He may be able to give you some good gouge and handle the inspection too.

I do not think gas is a good choice of engines. The boat is great
