Hey I'm a new guy from Jax with family that just moved over to the Fort Walton area. Not having a boat in the area (or willing to drag mine 6 hrs), could ya'll share some spots for the 'boatless' fisherman?
Thanks ahead of time, TheGeek www.fishingjax.com |

@knowphish - Thanks - I'd love to show you some spots in Jax. Not my honey holes though
Kinda what I'm looking for here is some general spots (fresh/salt). @Mudigger/@fupagunt - thanks! Fupagunt, where in Jax you from? TheGeek www.fishingjax.com |

Sup Geek??? Fish off of the beach, fresh dead shrimp or sand fleas.. You can buy pompano rigs pre made at the tackle store, put a triangle sinker on and your good to go. No telling what you'll catch.

Welcome! If your budget allows, I would get a kayak soon. It will open up an immense amount of fishing options, both inshore and in the gulf.

Thanks all for the info. @ChrisV - I"ve been thinking of getting a kayak too. That would be SO much easier to transport than the 15' Gheenoe. I couldn't imagine taking it out in the gulf! Guess I'm chicken. ![]() TheGeek www.fishingjax.com |
