24 miles to the pass at 10 knots equals many minutes of just sitting there which is all part of the game for the boat owner, but for friends it is eternity, even for the reward of fishing in the gulf. Soooo, wondered if there was somewhere over close to the pass or there abouts where the guests could drive, park and the boat could pull in an pick them up, like maybe a public dock/launch site or just a public docking area. Take them on out, fish and return them back to their car. Not commercial, just for family and friends.

Present boat is a family members, as you know from some of my posts I am looking for a "faster boat". But until than, 10 knots is it. Thanks

the normal places, like shoreline, or galvez. unless you know a private dock owner. Thats tuff because liability issues..... (I would think) oh, navy point.... Ive talked to a few places (private owners) in big lagoon, with limited success..... they were concerned about the liability problems that could present themselves....

Coming west out of east bay heading to the pass the best bet maybe a pickup at the public ramp in bayou Chico. The mahogany mills ramp.

Lost Key or South Wind. Do it all the time.

BUT......Then when you drop them off and take the long trip to the house......No one will be there to help you wash the boat.

X-shark, you are right, hadn't thought about that.

We head south down Blackwater Bay and than west past Pensacola to the pass so Mahogany Mill would be good. Thanks for the information.

Just make sure you stay in the channel coming in and out of Bayou Chico. When leaving the bayou there are some rock piles on the right side.
