Heading to the gulf coast out of Ft Meyers end of next week and meeting up with a buddy who knows the Atlantic side well. Reading a article from Capt. Bill Miller in ODU Magazine about Deep Water Runs...nice article but need more info fishing out of ft Meyers ..... Any local folks who can tell three old guys where to wet a line with a 32 foot whaler outrage in tow?

I wish I could help, but when I lived down there, I was a canal rat. I couldn't tell you the first thing about what to do with a boat, but I could get you dinner if you fished off a seawall, overnight. Heck, folks have caught keeper snook just by casting towards me across a canal, or standing next to me... ...It's true!

If I wasn't up here in the Panhandle now, I could save you some money and walk you to some fish.

I do highly recommend dining at the University Grill, when you're in Fort Myers. They do it right. Chef Eddie is top notch, and the food is the best in the area. If you do end up there, please tell whoever will listen that "Scooter Johnson" recommended them.
