Launched at Mullat bayou this afternoon to see how my vst filter replacement did. There is some interesting species down there. Probably not appropriate for me to get into it. Just wanted to post an observation

Very interesting species of boaters. Just an FYI if you didn't know but if you stand where the boat ramps are in front of you, the left side is shorter than the right side. So don't try to load/unload a big boat on the left unless you want it to go off the end. Just another observation of some boaters that didn't know what they were doing...

Must be talking about what hangs around the westside wooded area. An occasionally nice view but usually something a hot gnat wouldn't land on

Well launching was fine. But as I idled out thru the cut, there was a bass boat fishing one side of the bank and as I was idle out they were casting across the bank. They were frantically reeling in, Looked at me like I was doing something wrong. Same Scenario when I came back, except they made it obvious this time. So then I get to the dock or at least try to. A bass boat is tied up to the very end of the dock. He is sitting in it rigging up his bluegill rigs and such while 3 of his crew were standing on the dock. His engine was running the hole time, at one point he was he was talking on his cell phone. So his boat finally swings around so I can pull in there. There was tackle boxes, rods, etc all over the dock. I had to tippy toe around all this mess. The group were talking to each other in English I think. Please note that I respectfully idled out from the dock for 20 min before moving in.
So what is this about one side of the ramp dropping off? |

One day we were down there and a guy had put in on the left side and had like a 20ft boat and he had backed down and his trailor had gone off the end of the ramp and was stuck. Since then we only use the right side an have never had a problem with our 19 footer. He wasn't like way too far in the water but it was low tide and he had gone off the edge somehow because he was in the middle of the ramp so not like off the side but the end of the ramp. Left side being the side towards the bridge and right side being towards the houses or whatever.
