87'18.72 Yeah, but how is it exaclty located in relation to the beach, fort etc..(east, west , north south, etc) in other words, if I approach the reef from the north, what part of the ship am I goona see on the bottom machine first. I hope this kind of info will help others and myself tobecautiousthis coming season. safety first. Thanks

You will not see it on your bottom machine, you will hit it first. Only in about 30 feet of water, and just a large chunk of it left. You will run into it before you will see it.

The mass is located about 1 1/2 miles ssw of the pass. The part to watch out for as for hitting with a boat is located at 30 17 797 and 87 16 726. That's the southern most gun turret that is about 6 inches below the water at times also at times it's awash.

Hell you can't miss it! There is a big bouy right beside it......well actually... the marker bouy for it isabout 300 -400yards to the southbut hey...that's close enough for government work.:banghead

been there a few times, but never figure it out which way it sits..its kinda of afreaky feeling when you are approaching it..its always a rush. I try to stay back a good 100 ft...but just wondering which way it runs. You all be careful out there. (newbies like me specially)

Here's a second to realtor. You'll hit it before you see it on your bottom machine. Be very careful, especially in any kind of seas.

I believe it runs almost parallel with the beach. There is also another turrent about 30-40 yds to the ENE of the one that breeches the surface that stays submerged. Hope this helps.
