$50 per fish plus an $80K fine for the boat and suspended permits for 7 months. Should have taken the boat and forfeited the permits, plus the fines.

:banghead:banghead I wonder if Davids's numbers are for sale...Snapper that weighed over 50#:doh

I did a search and someone claimed to see the double axle trailer that the fish were hauled on blow out the tires.

This is truly an atrocity! I was in Golden Meadow when LDWF caught a blowout on the trailer full of the confiscated snapper. The numbers and weight of the fish described do not do justice to how terrible it was to see this 24 ft. trailer OVERLOADED with these snapper. Just imagine a dual axle trailer so loaded down that the tires kept blowing out and it will make anyone sick. These fish were from 2 lbs. to some I estimated at 50+ lbs. UNBELIEVABLE David Harrelson should have his charter license suspended immediately such as someone who is charged with DUI!!!!

First I didn't think you were calling me out. I went bact to the blog that I read as you asked about not seeing it.I saw that reference to the 50# just yesterday and surprised me also. From how I read it the trailer "when LDWF caught a blowout on the trailer full of the confiscated snapper." was being towed by the authorities. BUT that is a individuals statement/observation and doesn't make it fact.

I think some blogger is adding a lot of jam to that story.

From the original post they only confiscated 2459 lbs. of snapper, if that blew out the tires on a 24' duel axel trailer the LDW needs to take some of that money and buy some new tires for their trailer
