Default Hoooahhh!! Been looking for a Shimano wading belt

for forever and finally pulled one new in the bag off of eBay for $30.

What has life come to when your big Friday night is going to Waffle House to celebrate!

Shimano make good belts? Been looking at one that has two holders on it for spare rig. I just use a fishing vest now with a zillion pockets and tow a floating fish keeper (foam ring with built in closable nylon mesh net to keep fish alive) on a 10' lanyard.

Default I bought the one that has the tackle box pouch and the

pliers pouch. It's blue. Probably throw an AquaSkinz pouch on it as well and my homemade rod holder to free my hands up.

Btw, the cheap cordura drill holsters you can buy at HD or Lowe's work great for a rod holder - they hold the rod so you change lures hands free. I put a plastic rod insert in mine from an ancient wade belt I found in the bow of boat. Put a pan head screw in it to hold the insert so I could increase the forward angle of the rod - won't scratch the rod and the rod goes in and out easier. Just make sure you drill it first - insert and holster - and put the pan head on the inside of the insert. I used a stainless steel lock washer (nylon insert) to hold it all together.

That design is a jerry rig last minute deal that worked out quite well...

Shimano made another one I didn't like as much - gray belt and green color. Sportsmans Guide had a sale on those a while back.

Default I used to live in Destin. Never caught squat in the bay

unless it was close to the pass.

Where do you wade fish there?
