Default Fish Mount Donations

As some of you may know, I work for the Boy Scouts at a camp(Sea Base) in the Keys and in recent years we've been expanding our fishing program. This program offers Scouts the chance to experience the many styles of fishing available in the Keys, from the flats to blue water and everything in between. It's a fantastic opportunity for father/son fishing buddies to fulfill dreams and to boost other Scout's interest in fishing, while doing so in a safe, educational environment. Overall, I believe this program is a great asset to the future of sport fishing.

As such, I'd like to increase our fishing related decorations at our camp and I figured the good ol' PFF family would a good place to start asking for donations. Saltwater fish mounts of any condition or really any fishing themed decorations would be great. Old, cracked, or unpainted fish mounts are all acceptable, as I plan to have them refurbished. Brand new replicas would also be accepted.

So, if you have any decorations(in reasonable condition) that you or a friend would be willing to part with, please send a PM or call me. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Taylor Hunt

PS: If anyone is planning a trip to the Lower Keys this summer, let me know. I'm always happy to show off our marina/facilities and share some fishing tips. Several PFFers have done this over the years and it's always nice to meet other members.

Taylor,
I think it would be great to bring our Pack or Den down there. Where can I get some info on the camp? thanks.

Hey Jon,

Here's the website for Sea Base:
http://bsaseabase.org/

Unfortunately, Cub Scouts are too young to attend Sea Base. Minimum age of participants is 13yr olds, who are in the latter half of 8th grade.
