Default Fish ID

A buddy of mine caught this with a cast net in St Joe bay wondering what kind of fish it was.....I have no clue. Here is a pic of the top and bottom of the fish. Top side was like a hard as a rock, bottom side was soft.

Looks like a batfish but thought there were a very deep water fish?

Ive been in all my books, i cant find anything closer that bat or rat fish but niether is a great match
