CCC (3/11/2010)Ok guys, headed out tomorrow at 9am, boat is packed, hopefully I will have plenty of picts for you guys when I get back !
A trick we used in Minnesota when I was growing up was corn. Get a can of whole corn and tip your jig or hook with one kernal of corn, the MN Crappies couldn't resist it. Worked for Bluegills too. Not sure how it will work down here so give it a try if youget a chance!

Ok, Alabama river was highest that the locals had ever seen, wind was bad, cold weather, so bottom line was 6 total crappie caught, no keepers ! River is suppoed to crest this next week, maybe a week or two later it will get good. but good time, good drinks, all in all it was fun !

Bummer to hear the conditions weren't the best and the fishing wasn't the greatest. Good to hear you still had a good time though!

That's a pretty CRAPPIE report. Sorry the weather did not cooperate. Anytime on the water beats the hell out of time off the water.
