Sabiki rig with a 1/2 oz lead weight. Red seems to the the best color. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon when the schools of menhaden and threadfin are feeding on the surface in the bay I'll just run up current of them and drift along with the school jigging the sabiki rig (about 1/2 to 3/4 the depth of the water column) or casting it in amongst them if I can get that close. Around the bouys outside of the pass is usually good or around the Mass. in the morning.
