I'm about to have a boat house/lift constructed in my back yard. I'm trying to decide on the color of the tin roofing. Sorta leaning towards WHITE. Anyone have or know of a boat house with a white roof in the area that I might be able to look at from the water??? White, not silver or light grey.
Ha-ha. I have a high pressure washer that will take care of most of that and "Mold Armor" will easily remove the mold and mildew that WILL show up. The roof will measure 12'X24' so it won't be that much to keep presentable.
The problem will be getting to it....It's not like you can just stand on a ladder beside the roof and spray it. Metal roofs when wet are VERY slippery.
Copper Penny will be seen from a Long way away.
Personally I have Dove Gray on my house and shop.
I like the Copper Patina also.... Light Green like aged copper.
If you don't want it to stick out like a sore thumb...
Go with the grey or dark grey. Matching the house roof is a good idea too.. Bright penny or silver or shiny white will/can be a nuisance to you as well as your neighbors on a sunny day..
I have a white metal roof on my boathouse in Orange Beach that you are welcome to look at. If you don't want to drive over here I'd be glad to send you some pictures.
