Given the circumstances it isvery likely that this fire was caused by friction.

This is a common phenomenon in these difficult economic times and often happens when insurance policiesare allowedto rub repeatedly against mortgages, car paymentsand boat payments.

Well, I think if I owned a 30'-40' Fountain Powerboat, I would have some type of fire suppression onboard.:d

Having retired from the Fire Service in California after 29 years, I am cynical about fire causes. My classifications of fire cause are: 1- stupidity, 2-set for insurance or spite, 3-accidental,(very few) lightening strikes occasionally.

Without casting any accusations, in 1972, (first oil embargo and gas prices soared), we had more big RV, motor home fires in one year than we had in twenty years. HMMM? Imagine that

:doh

I don't have a dog in the fight, so 'nuff said.

Whatever the cause of the fire, and if in fact was an accident, I surely hope he's not in a position of money problems. That will draw new light on the situation.
