Best time to catch Reds in Louisiana

I have seen many posts in the past about recommending guides in Louisiana but I would also like to know when the "prime" time to catch Reds is. Also, I can only go on the weekends. Is it too crowded to even bother during these times?

Ohh ya, if anyone can recommend a guide that would be great also

Looking to go from Mid April - whenever.

you can catch reds year round over there...give capt. gene dugas a call...he is a member on here and a stand up guy...been with him a few times and filled the cooler in no time
