if you recall months ago there was a report on the news about limiting shrimping in the gulf off mobile. low numbers and lesions were blamed. a couple days later they issued a retraction saying no lesions were found.

Freeze those and take them to marine resources.

Why is it always an anonomous source or the "friend of one of my coworker's that works with a guy who know sobody who took this picture of a shrimp that sombody brought in from somewhere off the coast of Mississippi or Louisiana". If there is a problem then it needs to be reported. If you are worried about it getting "covered up" then why not post that "here are some pictures of the shrimp that I (or whoever)caught (where and when) and took to the NMFS, MDPW, etc.. this afternoon and showed to (person's name)"?

Its always like that when there is health and livelihood at stake. Believe me the proper people know all about this. some things just cant be reported to the masses.

The SINGLE shrimp pictured has at least one eye, contrary to the description. I wouldn't worry until someone pulls up a whole netful with lesions, missing eyes etc...
