I'd say apply. If you fall short in the years department, you may balance out in other areas. At that level, the black and white requirements tend to gray somewhat. I'm just saying dont cut yourself short. Go for it!

Hell yea do it anyway. I am a recruiter in the aviation field and alot of times the hard and fast requirements are not exactly that but more of a best case scenario. Plus the process of getting hired with any kind of government organization takes forever and a day so you might have all the quals you need by the time the appointment is made.

Sh#t Joe I was going to apply until you said that! It's cool that they think it is important enough to throw that kind of $$$$ (over 100K/yr) at it. I can't help but think though....how many artificial reefs would that money pay for each year?
