Any body have a Shakespeare 4187-HD Dual-Axis Ratchet Mount?
If so please post a picture. I have a 4187, at least that's what the part number engraved on it says. What's the difference in the 4187 and the 4187-HD? Is it a different physical design, or just heavy gauge steel, or maybe a wider base? Pictures on the Shakespeare site look the same. |

Looks to be the same size. Product description describes the HD as:
Extra Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Ratchet Mount. Same as Style 4187 with extra strength and rigidity. Use wherever its extra heavy-duty construction is needed. I'd use this if mounting on a Tee Top or if mounting a extra heavy antenna such as a CellWave |

There is no difference in the mounting bolt hole pattern. I always try to use the HD unit.
They have them at West Marine. I saw them yesterday. http://shakespeare-marine.com/mounts...dmount=4187-HD |
