Someone would have to commit a violent felony against a woman or child for me to even consider droppin' a dime...

Momma didn't raise a tattle tail. In school we lived by the creed "Snitches get Stitches" and later in life it became... "Snitches are a dieing breed."

interesting - I thought "No snitching" was an inner city african american thug program. Do you have a "no snitching" T -shirt?

I certainly would not call on a father and son who had never fished before that had an undersized dead redfish in their box and who were asking me to identify what type of fish it was.

on the other hand, pull up to me and offfer to sell me a Florida panther pelt out of the back of your trunk for $1000, and say you killed the panther in the big Cypress swamp while deer hunting in south florida and i will call on you...

guess there are some gray areas for me...

I don't agree. Those selling illegally taken species for profit lead to these silly regulations. They screw all of us by making the powers that be account for these "no-counts". I know of several who were caught, and even a couple that died trying to smuggle in 120 igloos full of snapper. One inch either way on a redfish is one thing... 400lb of snapper is another.

I must agree. A thief is a thief. If you don't believe in the rules, work to change them. I'm not going to lose a second's sleep over someone getting busted for knowingly poaching fish OR game. They deserve what they get. If they get ratted on......boo hoo.

Sorry but "snitch" is a term I learned as a kid in the country... Once an adult, I was in a fairly ruff bunch and snitches were really a dieing breed. As for the t-shirt... I never needed one in "that circle" of friends, most knew how I felt.

I just realize karma is a bugger. I do things nearly every day that is illegal to one degree or other... I figure if I go snitchin', I should expect to get snitched on for my transgressions...

Knowin' my luck, I would snitch out a major poacher and some one would snitch on me for a rollin' stop...

i dont believe in being a tattle tale. i was raised to be responsible for my own decisions, and keep my nose out of other peoples ass cracks unless it involved me. If I walk up and see someone tossing tnt into the water i might report it, if I see someone keeping a bunch of oversized fish and/or keeping more than the limit, I might say something about it to them then mind my business, if theyre just tossing them on the ground and leaving them or something theyll likely wonder how their tires got cut and all the air went out, but I dont feel it necessary to snitch about every little thing i see because theres a reward for it thats like giving skinny billy a cookie every time he tells his teacher johnny said "damn"

Touchy topic for me......on one hand I hate snitches......on the other I hate these sorry SOB's that take home ten bull reds a night while I have to abide by the law and take my one per person under 27". I guess just don't catch me on a bad day.
