Can't really compare to the others pain, but...every time it's fucking a miserable time, before, during and after; period! Ill-prepared and all... Somebody with their infinite wisdom once grabbed an ice-chest that had sun-baked fish innards in it...that was our beer fridge. You couldn't wash that stench off the cans. lol

On a side note:
Those prepping for wharves/piers, you can't save the pilings, walls and runners..but you can use screws instead of nails, or the quick-lock systems.. it only takes one person three hours to strip the surface boards and benches on mine. Depending on insurance you might want to leave it be.

On the camping stoves. My main one is a '76 Coleman suitcase stove. For mobile situations I splurged on a highly portable Primus omni-fule burner. These kick-ass all the way, a lil' expensive but well worth the price. The Swedish have been making these since the 1800's for mt hikers. Their new ones weigh 12 ounces and can burn several fuels, hence the name. :Gasoline, diesel, liquid propane, kerosene, white gas...even aviation fuel, no shit. Hell, probably would burn JP-7 if you could ignite it.
