Woke up around 6 this morning . While I was getting ready to hit the surf for some pompano action I remembered not catching any for the last three days or so?.so *&#@$%t ?..instead I grabbed a couple of light rods and hit for the bay. Man it was beautiful out there. Made a quick run west to a spot I know?. looked for some flounder using some Gulp shrimp, but the first 15 mnts. produced nothing?.so moved back east to the Navarre bridge. 5 mnts. later I was ON. The first one was an undersized sheppie?Lucky him I sent him back down on probation?10 mts later a nice 31? red . This guy hit my fiddler crab in no time?..by then the wind picked up and had to put the trolling motor on max to keep up around the bumpers under the bridge?.didn?t want to anchor until I found the Con.s again.. I did go around twice? nothing?. So I tried one more time. This time I reloaded with a nice looking fiddler, the biggest of all, he looked mad and was ready to bring me some action?. sent him out to patrol the area and tic tic!!! It felt light at first?set the hook and the fight was ON!!!?.I was thinking a6 pounder shippie this time?man, it really put out a fight ?. worked him out nice and easy to the top and to my surprise it was a second red? this time a nice 26 and ¾ ? ?wow?. keeper yes sr!!! So I finally threw the anchor and chum the pilons with some barnacles?.man I wanted to get me some sheepies bad. ?reloeaded with another fiddler, send him down ?.when BAM!!!! Zzz!! zzz!!! ?Wow what is that??.it can?t be a Red again I thought?but it was!. A NICE 30incher caught on a tinny sheppie hook ..wow. Kept trying till run out of fiddelers by then the wind was flat down again and the sun was bright?.called it a day. Here?s the Red.
