Ok, I see your point. We should feed people before we use food for cats to crap in. But, you can apply this exact same logic to clothing and housing and all kinds of things. We have homeless people, does that mean we should tear down all dog houses to build the homeless places to live? They have pet clothes too. They put sunflower seeds in bird food. The list goes on and on and on.

Good point, and honestly Id rather see a cat crapping in corn than shoving it in my car or even worse my BOAT GAS TANK!!!
Ethanol is a horrible horrible use of corn, the amount used for cat litter would be rather small compared to just about anything else.
