Try changing the relay first... I've got an 01 dodge stratus with less then 40K miles, that iv'e had many problems with.. it started something like that come to find out it was the relay we changed it no more problems like that.. Except when you go to fill the tank, it likes to spit and sputter until you burn some gas..
