I had a late start...man it was warm out there...S. wind was picking up .."beautiful I thought" rushed the gear up, cup of coffe on hand and took off. At the beach saw a few guys pullingout..oh ^%$#I thought, maybe because of the rain approaching and all. Talked to one guy said nobody gotnothing so far....regardlessI setup and enjoyed the view...Got to use the sand spikePFF member choppedliver made, man this thing exceeded my expectations....nice and solid, <U>this sand spike is no joke</U>....great stuff Chris, Thanks. Managed a junior black drum took a pic and let 'm go to live another 15 years. Right there, about 1/4 mile saw lightning hitting the water and decided to wrap it up...it rain hard for a few mnts. felt good. May comeback and give you all another report if I make it. Water was somehow cloudy, but not bad...low tide, no pompano. It was just great eventhough I only spent a few mnts. out on the surf, but that lightning was way above my safety point...becarefull.
