RE: 93' Yamaha 70 dies
okay, about the only thing I've done to it so far is put in a new fuel tank and run Techron fuel system cleaner through it. It didn't fix the problem of running slow, but while I was out, I watched the RPM's this time and it only runs at 2000 with the throttle wide open. However, the Techron did solve the problem of having to start it with starting fluid before hitting the ramp. After it warmed up, it didn't have a problem starting. I checked the compression and it was about 120 on each cylinder. I also noticed that it doesn't have a fuel filter on it. I bought one to put on before running it again. Also while it was idling, I squeezed the prime bulb and it did not rev any faster.
So, does anybody else think it's a power pack issue or is it just a fuel issue.
Thanks for the info :bowdown
