Default 3 Mile Bridge Monday Night 11.03.08

Lighttackle2fun (Gill) and myself have been trying to plan a trip out to 3 mile for almost a month, but for one reason or another we just couldn't get it together until last night. After a brief discussion about who's boat we were gonna use, plans werefinalized. We decided to take the glastron, for the extra room since Gill's fiancee was also making the trip. We launched at 17th and bumped into diesel84, who was also heading outin search of the bulls. It was smooth as silk on the way out with no wind to speak of. We anchored up in the first spot and everybody started to catch white trout and it didn't take long before Gill had some screaming drag and the first red fish was landed on gulp 3 inch nuclear chicken shrimp.

Next it was my turn this one was enticed with a gulp nuclear chicken jerk shad

The wind was starting to pick up and it caused the boat to swing almost up under the bridge so we decided to move. At first we just moved out a little, but I was itching totry the spot I fished lastWednesday, so after about 30 minutes of slow fishing we moved on over tothe new "hot spot". as soon as we got anchored we started seeing reds in the lights, and gill sight fished this nice slot red.

ThenStephsighted a small school of reds off the bowbetween the bridge and the boat....and.....I'll let the pictures tell the story...first.....

then.....this.....

thats righta double hook up.....

But wait...I gotta get in on this too.....

And here is the result.....

A very nice group of fish!!!! I'm not sure what Gill andStephwere using for bait butI caught mine with a new penny jerk shad.Well nextI was up again and I landed this monster with a power bait mullet

This was the largest of the night. So gill says if you are gonna catch thebigest one then I'm gonna catch the most (and alot of the time he does) and he is on fire again, this time witha live white trout(I think).

Another nice fish. In between catching all these reds, we were slaying white trout, blue fish, more ribbon fish than I care to remember (damndestroyers of gulp) and a stud spanish. Sorry no picture of the spanish, I was gonna get one, but he went all kamakazi on me and jumped out of my hands and over the side of the boat. This was one of the best nights I have had on the water since early spring, what a blast....you guys gotta get out there

Total

Reds 8

White trout a few...a few hundred..lol

Ribbon fish...god only knows how many

Blue fish 20 or so

Spanish 1

Good luck and good fishing,

Glastronix
