I usually fish 3 mile bridge at night, or the lights in Bayou Texar, or Mulat Bayou at night. The bait that always seems to work in the bay is gulp. Get some 3 inch new penny shrimp and a 1/4 ounce jighead and you will catch fish. You can also use gulp jerkshad they are working well now also try new penny and sapphire. If you have a cast net/bait net catch some LY or some pinfish and freeline them. We have been catching white trout, specks, reds, blues, and of course stupid skipjack.
