Default RE: Cheap People

the flip side of this is also when they FORCE you in to a tip for a larger party than if you wre just with your family. I've found that at establishments who tack on an automatic %15 you usually get truly shitty service(some are pretty good, but most are bad) because the wait staff KNOWS they are gonna get something even without being "polite" or "prompt". I tip well when I eat out with my family but if they TELL me what my tip will be I generally will walk out. Standard 15% is easy...just look at the tax for your bill in P'cola and double that amount. If the service was good, go a little higher....if bad, for every minute of bad service(like my glass being left empty) the tip goes down at an accelerated rate. Good wait staff is hard to find anymore. And what happened to saying "thank you" or "your welcome"to customers instead of this "no problem" crap you get now?? That just irks my ass....... ahhhh, the soap box is coming out, I better quit!!
